Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Traffic Accident at 8900 Jensen
August 9, 2010 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in a fatal traffic accident at 8900 Jensen Drive about 1:05 a.m. last Friday (Aug. 6).
The suspect, Rogelio Villalobos (H/m, DOB: 1-16-85), is charged with intoxication manslaughter in the 179th State District Court.
The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant I. Izaguirre and Officer N. Rosenblatt reported:
A black Chevrolet wrecker truck and a blue Nissan 240SX were traveling eastbound in the 8900 block of Jensen when the Nissan changed lanes and was struck by the Chevrolet. The Chevrolet, owned by Zone 3 Collision, which was traveling at a high rate of speed, then struck a light pole. The driver of the Chevrolet was killed. Villalobos, the driver of the Nissan, was taken into custody at the scene and was subsequently charged in the accident.
