Aggravated Assault at 5900 Ranchester
February 4, 2010 - Houston police are investigating the aggravated assault of a man at 5900 Ranchester about 6:10 p.m. on Wednesday (Feb. 3).
The victim, 27, suffered severe lacerations to the arms and head and was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital in critical condition. His identity is being withheld at this time.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Williams and Officer J. Johnston reported:
The victim walked over to his brother-in-law’s apartment and started an argument with him. At some point, the brother-in-law grabbed a hatchet and struck the victim several times. Further investigation determined the two men had been arguing for several days prior to this incident.
The brother-in-law, 29, was taken into custody at the scene and is awaiting charges at this time.
