Suspect Arrested in Fatal Stabbing at 3333 Cummins Lane

February 11, 2010 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal stabbing of a woman found at 3333 Cummins Lane #203 about 9:55 a.m. on Friday (Feb. 5).

The suspect, Robert David Golden (w/m, DOB: 7-24-70) is charged with capital murder in the 338th State District Court. He is accused in the killing of Marilyn Sue Gillespie, 58, of the above address, who was found deceased with multiple stab wounds.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant G. Gonzales and Officer J. Sosa reported:

Officers responded to a report of a person down at 3333 Cummins Lane and found Ms. Gillespie deceased. She was last seen alive on Feb. 2. Her vehicle, a 2006 green Subaru Tribeca with Kansas license plates MSSG, was missing from the apartment complex parking lot.

Further investigation developed information that identified Golden as the suspect in this case and on Wednesday (Feb. 10) he was arrested in the 3300 block of Weslayan without incident. Gillespie’s vehicle was also recovered.
