Investigation Into Fatal Stabbing at 5909 Grace

July 6, 2010 - Houston police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a man at 5909 Grace about 12:10 a.m. on Sunday (July 4). 

The male victim, age unknown, suffered a stab wound to the torso and was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant N. T. Ruland and Senior Police Officer B. W. Nabors reported: 

Patrol officers responded to a disturbance call at a garage apartment at the above address and found the victim deceased.  Further investigation determined the victim and another male were involved in a disturbance which escalated into a physical fight.  At some point, the victim was stabbed.  The other male has been detained for questioning but has not been charged at this time. 

This case will be reviewed by the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.
