Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shoooting at 16900 Northchase

June 1, 2010 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 16900 Northchase Drive about 8:25 p.m. on Friday (May 28).

The suspect, Damon Lousieur Jacquot (b/m, DOB: 9-19-74), is charged with murder in the 228th State District Court. He is accused in the killing of his cousin, Marcus Tyrone Carter, 49, of Spring, Texas. Carter was pronounced dead at an area hospital.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Elsbury and Officer M. Brady reported:

Jacquot shot Mr. Carter multiple times at an apartment complex and then fled the scene in a royal blue, four-door car, possibly a Toyota Camry.

On Sunday (May 30), Jacquot was arrested in Del Rio, Texas, after robbing a convenience store and leading area police agencies on a vehicle pursuit. HPD homicide investigators went to Del Rio and interviewed Jacquot who confessed to his role in Carter’s death. Jacquot is at the Val Verde County detention center pending extradition to Harris County.
