Charges Filed in Fatal Shooting at 4700 Wenda

March 5, 2010 - Charges have been filed against a suspect in the fatal shooting of a man at 4700 Wenda about 11:30 p.m. on Nov. 19, 2009.

The suspect, Quentin Leon McIntyre (b/m, DOB: 6-16-90), is charged with capital murder in the 339th State District Court. He is accused in the killing of Deandre Elliott, 17, of Houston, who suffered gunshot wounds to the head and chest and was pronounced dead at the scene. McIntyre is currently in Harris County Jail on unrelated narcotics charges.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Roberts and Senior Police Officer R. Cervantes reported:

Mr. Elliott had just left his girlfriend’s apartment when she heard gunshots outside her apartment and then heard a knock at her door. She opened the door and Elliott fell at her doorstep. Witnesses reported seeing a suspect, described only as a black male in his early twenties, fleeing the scene in Elliott’s vehicle, a 1993, four-door, blue-green Buick Park Avenue, with custom wire spoke wheels known as “elbow wire rims” and white wall tires. Elliot’s vehicle was recovered several days later in the 1300 block of Canterlane Drive.

Further investigation identified McIntyre as the suspect in this case and charges were filed on Thursday (March 4).
