Investigation into Male’s Death at 9640 Clinton

March 31, 2010 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a man found at 9640 Clinton Drive about 2:30 a.m. today (March 31).

The victim had no visible signs of trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity and cause of death are pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Countryman and Officers M. Stahlin and J. French reported:

The operators of a private tug boat found the victim in the water near a refinery along the Houston Ship Channel. HPD homicide investigators and the local United States Coast Guard were then called to the scene. The victim appeared to have been in the water for some time.

At this time, there are no known witnesses or suspects.
