Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shootng at 9191 Winkler #G

May 4, 2010 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man found at 9191 Winkler #G about 12:30 p.m. on Monday (May 3).

Don Francis Jackson (b/m, DOB: 5-2-51) is charged with capital murder in the 209th State District Court.

The victim, Lee Tisdel, 62, of the above address, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Blain and Senior Police Officer J. Robles reported:

Mr. Tisdel’s family went to check on him and found him deceased inside his place of business. Tisdel’s 1997 Nissan pickup truck was stolen from the location but was later recovered in southwest Houston.

Further investigation identified Jackson, an employee of Tisdel’s, as a suspect in the shooting. Jackson fled to Beaumont where he was arrested on Monday (May 3) for an outstanding felony warrant. Jackson later admitted to investigators his role in the shooting.
