Suspect Sought in Fatal Shooting at 5700 Thousand Oaks Circle

May 13, 2010 - Houston police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 5700 Thousand Oaks Circle on Sunday (May 9).

Wanted Suspect Joshua Leon MarshallJoshua Leon Marshall (b/m, DOB: 7-2-86) is charged with capital murder in the 177th State District Court. A photograph of Marshall is attached to this news release.

A second suspect, a juvenile female, has also been referred to Harris County Juvenile Probation on a charge of capital murder.

The male victim, Reginald Laroy King II, 29, of Houston, suffered a gunshot wound to the back and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officers T. Miller and S. Anderson reported:

The juvenile female suspect arranged to meet Mr. King at her apartment complex. Once King arrived the two suspects approached him and attempted to rob him.

King threw away his car keys and attempted to flee on foot. The two suspects chased him and then Marshall shot King in the back, killing him. Both suspects then fled on foot.

Further investigation identified the juvenile female and Marshall as suspects in this case.
