Charges Filed in Fatal Stabbing at 6611 Trigate

May 28, 2010 - Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal stabbing of a man at 6611 Trigate Drive about 12:15 a.m. on Saturday (May 8).

The suspect, Gary Bernard AllenThe suspect, Gary Bernard Allen (b/m, DOB: 1-19-70), is accused in the killing of Shafin Okieth Lark, 27, of the above address. Mr. Lark suffered multiple stab wounds and facial trauma and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office today (May 28) filed murder charges against Allen. He is described as a black male in his early 40s, 5 feet 10 inches tall and 180 pounds. Investigators believe he still may be in the Houston area. A photo of Gary Bernard Allen is attached to this news release.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Padilla and Senior Police Officer B. Evans reported:

Patrol officers responded to an assault in-progress call at the above address and found HFD emergency personnel attending to Mr. Lark. Further investigation determined Allen and his girlfriend were visiting her relative at 6611 Trigate. During the visit, Allen and Lark, who was a resident of that house, got into an argument. At some point during the argument, Lark was stabbed and Allen and his girlfriend fled the scene.
