Fatal Traffic Accident at 10900 Beaumont Highway

November 15, 2010 -Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 10900 Beaumont Highway about 12:45 a.m. on Saturday (Nov. 13).

The identity of the male victim, 24, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Couch and Officer T. Carter reported:

The victim was driving a red Chevrolet Silverado east on Beaumont Highway.  A witness stated the victim's truck ran the red light at the intersection of Oates.  The truck then spun and flipped over, landing on its roof in a ditch.  The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.  No other vehicles were involved.

The investigation is continuing.
