Investigation into Shooting at 254 Tallant
October 19, 2010 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a woman at 254 Tallant about 12:30 a.m. today.
The victim, Sarahi Rosales Gutierrez, 19, of Houston, suffered a gunshot wound to the head. She was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Wilson and Officer T. Andrade reported:
Ms. Gutierrez was in the driveway of the above address visiting with several friends when a male produced a pistol and, without provocation, shot Gutierrez . Ms. Gutierrez's friends then fled the scene. One of the friends hid the gun in his home, but later called police to report the shooting. The weapon has been recovered.
