Investigation Into Fatal Shooting at 7429 Long Point


October 22, 2010 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one man and wounding of two others at 7429 Long Point about 4:20 a.m. on Thursday (Oct. 21).

The deceased male victim, of the above address, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. Two other men were wounded and trasnported to Ben Taub General Hospital.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M.W. McStravick and Senior Police Officer P.J. Guerrero reported:

The victim saw a male suspect breaking into his vehicle in the apartment complex parking lot and left his apartment to confront the suspect. The victim was followed by his two brothers and an altercation ensued between the victim, his brothers and the suspect. During the altercation, the suspect pulled a gun and shot the victim and his brothers.
