Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Traffic Accident at 455 Aldine Bender


October 25, 2010 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in a fatal traffic accident at 455 Aldine Bender about 4:30 a.m. on Sunday (Oct. 24).

The suspect, Miguel Angel Grimaldo (H/m, DOB: 11-5-80), is charged with intoxication manslaughter in the 183rd State District Court. A photo of the suspect is attached to this news release.

His male passenger, 24, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Vehicular Crime Division Sergeant J. Chambers and Officer B. Banks reported:

Grimaldo was driving a white Infinity G35 northbound on Lillia Road at a high rate of speed and failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Aldine Bender. The Infinity continued across Aldine Bender and struck several trees. Grimaldo' s passenger was kiilled on impact and Grimaldo suffered minor injuries. He was then taken into custody at the scene.
