Fatal Shooting at 1617 Rosewood


September 15, 2010 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 1617 Rosewood about 8:10 p.m. on Wednesday (Sept. 15). 

The victim, 59, suffered gunshot wounds to the head and chest and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Williams and Officer M. Khan reported: 

Neighbors reported they heard a gunshot and discovered the victim slumped on the sidewalk next to his truck.  One neighbor called 9-1-1 and the victim was then taken to the hospital.  Further investigation determined the victim owned a residence on Rosewood but no longer lived there.
