Public's Help Sought in Locating Missing Elderly Man

August 17, 2011 - Houston police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing elderly man.

James Baker, 72, was discovered missing from the “The Center” at 3550 West Dallas about 4 a.m. today (Aug. 17).

“The Center” is an assisted living facility.  It is believed Mr. Baker wandered away of his own free will.

Baker is described as a white male, 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds with hazel green eyes and grey hair.  He speaks with a slur and walks with a forward stoop.  It is unknown what clothing Baker was wearing at the time of his disappearance, however he usually prefers to wear blue jeans and a button down shirt.  A photo of Baker is attached to this news release.
