Fatal Traffic Accident at 12900 Tomball Parkway

February 21, 2011 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 12900 Tomball Parkway East service road about 10:45 a.m. on Saturday (Feb. 19).


The identity of the deceased male victim, 83, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Richard and Officer T. Riley reported:

The victim was driving a tan Cadillac Coupe Deville westbound on FM 1960 West while two other vehicles, a green Chevrolet 1500 truck and a blue Lincoln Town Car were traveling north on the Tomball Parkway East service road. The driver of the Cadillac ran the red light at the intersection of FM 1960 and the Tomball Parkway service road. At that time, the Chevrolet truck struck the Cadillac, which spun around and was then hit by the Lincoln. The elderly driver of the Cadillac was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The two other drivers refused medical treatment.

The investigation is continuing.
