January 24, 2011 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 2450 Holcombe about 9 a.m. today (Jan. 24).

The female victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Chambers and Officer I. Jefferson reported:

The vicim was driving a white Cadillac Escalade in the parking lot of the Nabisco building located at the above address when she exited her vehicle to scan her entry card and raise the gate.  The victim did not put her vehicle in park and the Cadillac rolled forward.  The woman attempted to get back into her vehicle, but she was pinned between it and a pole near the gate.
