Investigation into Fatal Shooting of Woman at 3300 Calumet

July 13, 2011 - Houston police are asking for the public's assistance in obtaining information on a woman found fatally shot at 3300 Calumet about 1 a.m. today and the unknown suspect(s) who shot her.

The victim, identified as Lori Ann Pittman, 30, address unknown, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A photo of Ms. Pittman is attached to this news release. It is being released in hopes someone will recognize her and contact investigators who have been unable to locate any of Pittman's family or friends.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants T. Hanslik and W. Bush reported:

Officers responded to a shooting call at the above location and found a female victim (Pittman) with a gunshot wound and deceased in the street. Witnesses told police they found the woman after hearing a single gunshot from outside their residences. An autopsy was performed and Ms. Pittman's identity was confirmed by fingerprints. The autopsy also confirmed she was pregnant.

At this time, there is no known motive for the shooting.
