Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 2757 Briargrove


March 14, 2011 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 2757 Briargrove #409 about 11:40 p.m. on Friday (March 11).

The male victim, 22, of Houston, was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.  His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Odom and Senior Police Officer R. Moreno reported:

The victim was visiting friends at the above address when two suspects knocked on the door and forced their way inside the apartment.  The suspects are described only as two black males, both 20-25 years of age, dark-complected and with muscular builds.  The first suspect is described as being approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and armed with a hand gun.  The second suspect is described as being approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and armed with a stun gun.  The first suspect held the occupants of the apartment at gunpoint while the second suspect began to search the apartment.  During the robbery, the victim attempted to flee the apartment when he was shot at least one time.  The suspects then fled the scene in an unknown direction.
