Suspects Sought in Shooting at 12600 Dunlap


May 6, 2011 - Houston police are investigating a shooting that left a man critically wounded at 12600 Dunlap about 12 a.m. today (May 6).

The suspects are described only as four black males.  One of them, who drove away from the scene, was thin, in his mid 20s, with a meduim complexion.  He was last seen in a white minivan, believed to be a taxi, with red letters and numbers, and tinted back windows.

The victim, age unknown, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officers K. Carr and R. Chappell reported:

The victim, believed to be a taxi driver, told bystanders who were rendering help that he had picked up four males at the bus station at 2121 Main Street.  At some point, the victim said he was shot and robbed and his van was stolen by the four males.

There are no known witnesses at this time.
