May 9, 2011 - Houston police are investigating the aggravated assault of a man at 5916 Gulfton about 1:05 a.m. today (May 9).

The victim, 36, was struck by a vehicle and transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical condition.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer B. Evans and Officers L. Carballo and T. Andrade reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a disturbance at the above location and found the victim lying on the ground in a parking lot.  Further investigation determined the victim was struck by a vehicle driven by one of several suspects involved in an altercation inside the Cosmos Disco Nightclub at 5908 Gulfton.

The suspects fled the scene in a black Honda sedan.
