Investigation into Body Found at 609 Schweikhardt


May 16, 2011 - Houston police are investigating an incident in which a body was found at 609 Schweikhardt #1 about 7 p.m. on Sunday (May 15).

The male victim is believed to be a resident of the above address.  His identity and cause of death are pending autopsy by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Williams and Officer M. Khan reported:

The victim's head and one arm were discovered in a trash bag behind cinderblocks that support the resident at 609 Schweikhardt.  A chainsaw was also discovered with the trash bag.  The remainder of a body, with a partially severed arm, was found nearby in the backyard of an adjacent property at 4611 Coker.  There were no other obvious injuries to the victim.  A male has been taken into custody for questioning and has not been charged at this time.

The investigation is continuing.
