Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 9200 Boone

 


May 16, 2011 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 9200 Boone Road about 6:50 a.m. on Friday (May 13).

The victim, 40 to 45 years of age, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identitiy is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. L. Meeler and Officer J. L. French reported:

The victim was found in the driver's side of his pickup truck parked in the center of the teacher's parking lot of Olle Middle School at the above location.  Further investigation determined the victim's wallet, as well as the keys to the vehicle were stolen.

At this time, the motive appears to be robbery.
