Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 6234 Rietta Lane
April 23, 2012 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 6234 Rietta Lane about 11:50 p.m. on Saturday (April 21).
The victim, David N. Washington, 41, of the above address was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Padilla and Senior Police Officer R. Bolton reported:
HPD patrol officers responding to a shooting call at the above address were directed by witnesses to a shack behind the residence. Upon entering, the officers found Mr. Washington lying on the floor with an apparent gunshot wound. HFD paramedics arrived and pronounced him dead.
Witnesses then told homicide investigators they had been in the shack with Washington playing a video game when two masked males entered and began shooting. The suspects are described only as two black males wearing red bandanas and dark clothing.
