Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 7000 Martin Luther King Boulevard

August 9, 2012 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 7000 Martin Luther King Boulevard about 9:20 p.m. on Wednesday (Aug. 8).


The male victim, in his 30s, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officers B. Oxspring and M. Condon reported:

The victim was shot several times while on foot in the 7000 block of Martin Luther King. HFD paramedics transported him to the hospital. Investigators are attempting to locate an unidentified black female who may have been with the victim when he was shot.

At this time, there are no known suspects.
