The victim, Robert Kuentz, 30, of Spring, died of his wounds at Memorial Hermann Hospital on Monday (Dec. 3). HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Howard and Senior Police Officer H. Chavez reported:
Mr. Kuentz was working in his office at the Mac Haik Dealership at the above location when Grimmett, also an employee of the dealership, walked into Kuentz's office and confronted him about a meeting the two men had the previous day (Nov 29). Without provocation, Grimmett shot Kuentz and fled the scene. Kuentz was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical condition.
Several hours later, Grimmett was located and arrested at his residence at 10440 South Course about 3:45 p.m. He told investigators he was unhappy about what had happened at the previous meeting and how Kuentz had spoken to him.
