Investigation into Fatal Stabbing at 6215 Beldart

December 12, 2012 - The fatal stabbing of a male suspect and wounding of another man at 6215 Beldart about 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday (Dec. 11) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.


The suspect, Blake Deandre Grigsby (b/m, DOB: 6-8-92), was pronounced dead at the scene. A second male, Johnny Thomas, 55, suffered stab wounds and was transported to an area hospital in an unknown condition, but is expected to survive his injuries.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Biggs and Senior Police Officer R. Bolton reported:

Patrol officers responded to a stabbing call at 6214 Beldart and found the homeowner (Thomas) had been stabbed. Witnesses told officers another victim was in a residence across the street at 6215 Beldart. According to witnesses, someone was banging on their door and when they answered, Thomas told them a male stabbed him. Further investigation determined Grigsby and Thomas fought and Thomas took the knife from Grigsby and stabbed him. Officers went to the 6215 Beldart location and found Grigsby lying on the floor. HFD paramedics responded and pronounced him deceased.
