Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Stabbing at 702 Redondo
December 17, 2012 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal stabbing of a man at 702 Redondo about 3 a.m. on Sunday (Dec. 16).
Matthew Jacob Contreras (H/m, DOB: 11-22-94) is charged with murder in the 208th State District Court.
A photo of Contreras is not available at this time, pending further investigation.
The male victim, 19, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officers X. Avila and J. Sosa reported:
While at the above address, Contreras and the victim began arguing. During the argument, Contreras produced a knife and stabbed the victim several times. Contreras then fled on foot, but was arrested a short time later.
