Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 7200 West T.C. Jester

July 09, 2012 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 7200 West T.C. Jester about 2:40 a.m. on Sunday (July 8).

The victim, 29, of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Bush and Officer C. Sturdivant reported:

Witnesses reported leaving an apartment complex at the above location and finding the victim lying unresponsive in the median.  They then called 911.  Members of the Houston Fire Department arrived and pronounced the victim dead.  Witnesses told investigators they saw the victim leave the apartment complex about 2 a.m.  Other witnesses reported hearing gunfire sometime between 2:30 a.m. and 2:45 a.m.

There is no known motive nor suspect(s) in this case.
