Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 3719 Lelia Street

July 18, 2012 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of two men at 3719 Lelia Street about 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday (July 17).

The victims, Juan Castillo, 20, and Mario Rene Lopez, 33, of the above address, were pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Rodriguez and Senior Police Officer S. Anderson reported: 

According to witnesses, three unknown male suspects entered the residence at the above location and demanded money.  Several gunshots were heard and the suspects were seen running out the back door of the residence.  The suspects ran westbound on Lelia and then fled the location in a white Ford pickup truck parked nearby.  At this time, the motive for the shooting appears to be narcotics related.

The suspects are described only as black males.
