Investigation into Death at 5500 El Camino Del Rey

July 24, 2012 - Houston police are investigating the death of a man found at 5500 El Camino Del Rey about 4:30 p.m. on Monday (July 23).

The male victim's identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homcide Division Sergeant B. Williams and Senior Police Officer S. Anderson reported:

An apartment resident at the above address complained to maintenance about water pouring through the bathroom ceiling.  When the maintenance worker investigated the apartment above, he found the victim on the floor with a blanket over him and blood on the wall.  The victim had suffered cuts to his throat and upper chest and was pronounced dead at the scene.

At this time, there is no known motive nor suspect(s).
