June 11, 2012 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 154 East Edgebrook about 11:50 a.m. last Friday (June 8).

The male victim, nine years old, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant C. Park and Officer O. Bledsoe reported:

The male driver of a black Toyota 4 Runner was traveling westbound on East Edgebrook when he failed to control speed and drove onto a median. The impact ejected the juvenile victim and he died at the scene. The driver, 50, and two four-year-old backseat passengers were transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in stable condition.

The investigation is continuing.
