Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 3806 Lee Road

March 19, 2012 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 3806 Lee Road about 9:30 p.m. on Sunday (March 18).

The victim, Moises Macias, 27, of the above address, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Chandler and Senior Police Officer K. Carr reported:

About an hour prior to the shooting, Mr. Macias and several other persons living in the neighborhood got into an altercation over the possible assault of Macias' girlfriend.  The altercation ended and all involved left the location.  Later in the evening, one suspect approached Macias, who was standing in the yard outside his residence. The suspect pulled out a gun and shot several times in Macias' direction, striking him in the torso.    Macias retreated inside his residence as the suspect fled the scene.  Macias' family immediately called 9-1-1 and attempted to give him first aid, but Macias died at the scene.
