May 1, 2012 - Houston police have released surveillance video of a suspect's vehicle involved in the fatal shooting of a man at 4400 Ward at Foster about 7:20 p.m. on January 3. 

The surveillance video is at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qj05YmKzjZk and starts with the victim's and suspect's vehicles pulling up just outside a service station where the shooting takes place.  The suspect's vehicle then flees through the parking lot immediately after the shooting.

The victim, Sidney Ross, 31, of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Rodriguez and Officer M. Condon reported:

Mr. Ross was driving in the 4400 block of Ward near Foster when a newer model silver Dodge Caliber pulled up next to his car.  Someone from inside the Dodge then shot into the driver's side of Ross' vehicle.  Ross drove a short distance and was pronounced dead.

The suspect is described only as a black male.
