Investigation into Remains Found at 1500 E. Anderson Road

May 2, 2012 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results of skeletal remains found at 1500 E. Anderson Road about 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday (May 1).

The identity of the unknown remains and cause of death are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Rodriguez and Senior Police Officer M. Condon reported:

A witness was checking his property after a reported robbery of a male that occured the day before (April 30).  While checking the property he walked into a nearby wooded area and saw what he believed was a human skull.  He then called police.  Officers responded and found the skeletal remains of a human body, other animal bones and household trash in a heavily wooded area.

The investigation is continuing.
