Investigation into Shooting of Man at 4200 Beran

May 16, 2012 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 4200 Beran about 12:55 p.m. on Tuesday (May 15).

The victim, Chase Walker, 20, of Houston, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he remains in critical condition.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Rohling and O. Chandler reported:

Witnesses reported seeing a green vehicle, possibly a Pontiac Grand Prix, traveling east on Beran Drive.  As the vehicle entered the intersection with Quention Drive and turned north on Quention, witnesses heard one gunshot.  They then saw the vehicle stop and a black male suspect get out the car and walk to the passenger side.  The suspect opened the door and pulled Mr. Walker out into the street.  The vehicle then fled north on Quention.
