October 9, 2012 - Houston police have learned the identities of two persons found fatally shot in an apparent murder-suicide at 14302 Carolcrest Street about 10:30 a.m. on October 3.

The female victim, Gertrude Companion, 72, and the suspect, Michael Companion, 71, both of the above address, suffered gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Chandler and Senior Police Officer K. Carr reported:

The husband and wife were found in a bedroom in their residence. There were no signs of forced entry.

A preliminary investigation indicates Michael Companion fatally shot his wife and then himself.
