Update: Suspect Charged, Wanted in Death of Man at 5335 Catlecreek Lane

October 19, 2012 - Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the death of a man at 5335 Castlecreek Lane about 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 27.


The suspect, Jerry Wayne Matlock (w/m, DOB: 5-26-62 is charged with aggravated assault with serious bodily injury in Fort Bend County. He is accused in the death of Francisco Sanchez, 53, of Houston, who was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

HPD Homicide Division Officers J. Dominguez and C. Hassig reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to an assault call at the above address and found Mr. Sanchez unresponsive and lying on his driveway. He was then transported to the hospital. According to witnesses, Sanchez was punched by two unknown male suspects who then fled the location on foot.

Further investigation identified Matlock as a suspect in this case.
