Fatal Shooting at 1936 Dolly Wright

October 24, 2012 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 1936 Dolly Wright about 7 a.m. on Tuesday (Oct. 23).

The victim, 41, of the above address, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Insititute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants R. Rohling and R. Blain reported:

Several unknown male suspects forced entry into the residence at the above address with the intent to rob the persons inside. During the robbery, the victim was shot and killed. Two other victims were also injured and were treated and released from an area hospital.

The suspects, described only as five to seven masked black males, fled the scene in a vehicle stolen from the location. The vehicle was recovered nearby.
