Fatal Traffic Accident at 10900 Gulf Freeway

September 4, 2012 - A man critically injured in a traffic accident in the 10900 block of the Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) service road about 1 p.m. on Aug. 27 has died from his injuries.

The male victim was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital with head trauma.  Doctors pronounced him dead on Monday (Sept. 3).  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Arnold and Senior Police Officer R. Pina reported:

The victim was operating a black Kawasaki motorcycle and leaving a private driveway in the 10900 block of the Gulf Freeway service road when he was struck by a beige Nissan Sentra, traveling northbound on the service road.  The victim was then taken to the hospital.  The driver of the Nissan was not injured.

Further investigation determined the victim was at fault in the accident.
