Investigation into Remains Found at 6303 Cullen

September 18, 2012 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results on skeletal remains found at 6303 Cullen about 11 a.m. on Monday (Sept. 17). 

The remains, believed to be of an adult female, will be examined by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences to determine the identity and cause of death.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Bush and Senior Police Officer C. Sturdivant reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to the above address after witnesses reported finding a human skull in the courtyard of an abandoned apartment complex.  Witnesses were evaluating the property for possible purchase when they discovered the skull.  A search of the property was conducted and nearly the entire skeleton of what is believed to be a female was found.

The investigation is pending results of the autopsy.
