Suspect Arrested, Charged in Death of Man Found at 2757 Briargrove #405

September 24, 2012 - ********CORRECTION ON SUSPECT ARREST DATE********
Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the death of a man found at 2757 Briargrove #405 about 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 17. 

The suspect, Omar Ibrahim (A/m, DOB: 4-10-91), is charged with murder in the 178th State District Court.  He is accused in the killing of Adrian Castro-Villasenor, 46, of the above address.  A photo of suspect Ibrahim is attached to this news release. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Williams, Senior Police Officer M. Condon and Officer D. Fontenot reported: 

HPD patrol officers responded to a scene where a body had been wrapped in multiple layers of rugs and bedding.  Ibrahim asked others for help in loading the body into a vehicle and when he could not get it loaded, he fled the scene.

Further investigation developed information on Ibrahim's whereabouts and he was located in Idaho with family members.  Ibrahim was then arrested last Friday (Sept. 21) by the United States Marshals.  HPD homicide investigators traveled to Idaho and spoke to Ibrahim, who admitted to his role in Mr. Castro-Villasenor's death.
