Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 8100 Wilcrest

April 1, 2013 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 8100 Wilcrest about 2 a.m. last Saturday (March 30).

The identity of the victim, 17, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Odom and Officer M. Coleman reported:

The victim and four of his friends were driving in a vehicle south on Wilcrest when two to three males in another vehicle pulled up alongside their vehicle. At that time, someone inside the suspects' vehicle began firing shots, wounding the victim in the head. The suspects, described only as black males, ages 16 to 18, fled the scene in a light colored, four-door sedan, possibly a gold Toyota Camry. The victim was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
