Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 10470 West Bellfort

August 26, 2013 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 10470 West Bellfort about 9 p.m. on Sunday (Aug. 25).

The victim, 33, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer C. Scales and Officer T. Ferguson reported:

The victim and an unknown male suspect got into an argument in front of a convenience store at the above address. At some point, a third person gave a gun to the suspect, who then shot the victim several times and fled the scene in an unknown direction. The victim was taken to the hospital where he later died.

The suspect is described only as a Hispanic male.
