Investigation into Man's Death at 6300 Bellfort

December 26, 2013 - Houston police are investigating an incident in which a man was killed at 6300 Bellfort about 9 p.m. on Tuesday (Dec. 24).

The victim, Clyde B. Hadnot, 50, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants J. Burton and J. Rhoads reported:

Mr. Hadnot was seen speaking to the driver of a white SUV at the above address. A short time later, he was then seen running from the vehicle, with the driver of the SUV pursuing Hadnot at a high rate of speed. At this time, it is believed Hadnot fell and the driver of the SUV intentionally struck him while he was lying on the ground. The driver then fled the scene.

The vehicle in this incident is described only as a white SUV with partial Texas license plates of 82G.
