Investigation into Fatal Stabbing at 2847 Tidewater

February 4, 2012 - Houston police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a woman and the wounding of a child at 2847 Tidewater found about 11:30 p.m. on Sunday (Feb. 3).

Jemal Lockridge Chambers, 43, of the above address, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 13 year-old juvenile suffered blunt force trauma and was transported to Texas Children's Hospital in an unknown condition.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Meeler and Senior Police Officer H. Chavez reported:

Ms. Chambers' daughter arrived home at the above residence after spending the weekend at a family member's house. When the daughter arrived she did not see a car in the driveway and the house was locked. She entered the house and found her mother and Chambers' son in her bedroom. Chambers was pronounced dead at the scene and her son was transported to the hospital. Chamber's vehicle is presumed stolen and is described as a 2013 white Toyota Corolla bearing Texas license plates BKD-5345.
