February 25, 2012 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 2300 State Highway 6 South about 9:10 p.m. on Saturday (Feb. 23).

The identity of the deceased male, 44, of Houston, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant C. Nickerson and Officer B. Collins reported:

The victim was operating a green Harley Davidson motorcycle and traveling north on State Highway 6 South when he lost control of the motorcycle and struck a portion of the center median. The victim, who was not wearing a helmet, was later pronounced dead at Memorial Hermann Hospital.
