January 2, 2012 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of two women in an apparent murder-suicide at 8706 Wiggins about 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday (Jan. 1).

The female victim, Ana Flores, 24, and the suspect, Belinda Espinoza, 29, both of the above address, suffered gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Blain and Officer M. Burrow reported:

Officers responded to a 911 call regarding a disturbance with a weapon at the above address and had to force entry into the house.  When they entered they found the bodies of both women and a gun nearby.  Family members stated Espinoza had called them shortly before the incident and threatened suicide.  It is believed Ms. Flores placed the call to 911.  Flores and Espinoza had a romantic relationship and it appears the incident originated from a domestic dispute.
