Investigation into Infant's Death at 12141 Richmond

January 2, 2012 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of an infant at 12141 Richmond about 6:45 a.m. today (Jan. 2).

The baby boy, one-month-old, was transported to West Houston Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at the scene.  He showed no apparent signs of trauma. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Williams and Officer J. Horn reported:

Paramedics were called to the family's apartment at 9202 South Dairy Ashford after the baby boy was found unresponsive by his mother when she attempted to wake him to be fed.  CPR was performed until the paramedics arrived and could continue emergency resuscitation efforts.

The investigation is continuing.
